There was already a discussion actually:
http://forum.imcdb.org/forum_topic-2932-ChaseCrash_info_for_each_car.html
Which did not give much useful stuff except complicating the problem

Hence the idea of simply having the possibility to indicate if the car is damaged and/or in a chase, to allow to eventually do searches or have a quick overview from the movie page. Comments are there if more info is required, as they are now.

We could have another poll for this.

I mean as figurative, not an actual flag

Just an check "yes/no" in addition of the current 1-5 star rating.
I do not know what image I'll associate to that.

It would not replace the current star rating. It would just be two flags indicating if it is in a chase / if it is damaged.

Colours could be a good idea. Red if Destroyed, Green if it is the Hero's car, or Blue if it was in a race/chase. But I pefer the original star rating.

Fair point - 'involved in chase' would be good.

At the very beginning of the site it was suggested, but at that time it did not interest anyone.
Recently a field "involved in chase" was suggested, so logically a "damaged" field would come with that.
It would be "damaged" rather than "destroyed" because it is hard to put a difference between "heavily damaged" and "destroyed": a cheap car a little damaged will be sent to the junkyard, but an expensive car may be repaired even if it must be completely rebuild.

The star system on the site is great for telling us how the vehicle was used, but doesn't tell us its fate. How about a cross, red star or just RIP (Rest In Peace) next to the thumbnail if the car is wrecked?
Eg:
'Bullitt' Dodge Charger R/T: *****RIP
Just a thought.
