As said previously, for co-productions when there is an origin more important to others, that is fine as single origin for IMCDb.
Like for Doctor Strange, this is a US movie, with probably some co-production for parts filmed in other places, but it is still a US movie.
Wikipedia is maybe a better reference than IMDb for this, since IMDb simply lists the countries linked to production company involved.

I suspect it is not just for Japan. For example Allociné uses "Les Pennac(s): Un Air de Famille" as title.

For these last two, even if other countries were involved, these are mostly American movies (listed as such on Wikipedia for example).
In some cases there is no clear origin between two countries, but I don't think it is the case here.
Multiple-countries origin is clear for some titles, like Power Rangers Zeo mentioned above. For that one Wikipedia also mentions also US/JP as origin.
