I did some of them for ambulances and simple truck categories.
I only did ones that were somewhat newer. I did not touch anything from say 1970s and older. Those I wasn't sure of. I could vouch for newer ones that the cab was barely seen or not at all.
If I seen any in a movie I will put them in comments. I never outright delete anything. You never know if a better quality version comes out or if the uploader totally missed a better shot of the subject vehicle.

here a suggestion for cleanup, go thru unknown trucks and ones with no proper cab view should go and the ones in very background
We were discussing about too-background vehicles.
Those with a role should not be deleted, or at least moved to movie comments in case they are really unidentifiable.
Same for those who are clearly noticeable, like https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_166681.html in your list.
They should be kept somewhere, so in comments if not on individual pages.
Or maybe there should be a "Unidentifiable" category in addition to "Unknown" for these?

I think we're already deleting the really bad entries before their approval, it would not be a good idea to get rid of the old ones that have been sitting here for years if you ask me.
Can you elaborate?

at least 20-30 pages would be gone at least if you are generos with delete button
and before anyone argues they might get ID there are over 140 pages of unknown trucks with many trucks having good cabin shot and yet still nobody can ID them

I deleted one yesterday, a blurry, moving background Ford Econoline. Older ones do pop up occasionally.

There are sometimes some not worth listing that still are accepted, especially when there are a lot of these, a few slip in between the good ones
About the sample Grand Marquis, isn't it still quite noticeable in the movie, because a guy is siting on it? Isn't the guy in foreground looking to him?
That one does not seem problematic to me.
There are of course some to delete, sometimes I delete a few way too background vehicles I find, usually these are rather blurry passing vehicles, random traffic vehicles seen through windows of a vehicle, or partial views of parked vehicles.
If you notice really bad ones, you can report them here, but don't report too many either, only worse case in a first time are enough

Hi all. I noticed that we have a large amount of blurry/obscured and otherwise poor shots of vehicles cluttering up the database. I think it would be beneficial to the website that these images be removed and that Admins be a little more strict in what gets approved and what doesn’t.
For example. When i was upgrading Stir of Echoes (1999) these two vehicles stood out to me.
EDIT: It looks like the picture of the Ford Econoline was removed. Well done admins!

The Marquis is rather common and honestly, pretty obscured. I didn’t even notice in the film, it was that background. I know I’m still trying to become an admin, and I don’t have the necessary rights, but the database really needs a good cleaning.
I think people would rather see full, clear shots of interesting vehicles, instead of the trunk of a Ford Crown Victoria.
