Those early generation 4.6 Triton V8’s are snails aren’t they.

I remember back in 1997 when I bought my first Expedition (a 1997 model, Eddie Bauer) I Test drove the one with the 4.6 and good God!, that thing was sloooooooooooooooooooooooow. I ended up getting a different one that had the 5.4 engine (not much of an improvement

) It was still kind of slow. Sounded at lot better than the 4.6 engine, however I always thought the 4.6 revved a little higher than the 5.4. But I agree both Triton engines have an brutish monstrous sound (Pretty good to be stock) I love that sound myself.
I just realized "Triton" is one of the moons of "Neptune" (Weird (!)

) Maybe that’s why I like the Expedition so much, because of the Triton engine! (Just joking)
