"Cat's Eye", 1985, Stephen King. In the first story/chapter called "Quitter's Inc.", James Woods (main character) drives a BMW E21 320i. The car is used in two scenes. It is driven quite aggressively in one scene: Hard cornering, braking, etc. If you like E21's you may enjoy it (my family used to own one when it was new).
