I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of car this is or where I could find more information about it. It is from the 1980’s and I gather from eBay that it is referred to as a “Tonka Friction Car”. It is the kind that you run along the ground to rev up an "inertia motor" inside and then push the button on top and it goes forward under it’s own power. It has "140" stamped on the bottom, and is about 3 inches long. I have had no luck searching the internet to find out what it is and possibly obtain one in better condition. Also, if anyone can tell me if it is based on a real car and if so what make or model, I'd appreciate any help.
