On the other hand IMDB lists things which have nothing to do with movies or series, like the MTV music awards...
So it is normal that we also extend the range, we just have to be careful about what we allow.
For commercials I'd say that they have to either be on IMDB because recognized as short movies, or to be long enough to not be just TV-ads (like "Saab Suite").
