Dashcam pics from the past month.
June 30 to July 4 I took a trip up to Pittsburgh.
Subaru Impreza pulled over on the shoulder of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Not very visible here, but the front end was badly smashed and there was no obvious cause in sight - no other cars, no roadkill, etc. I thought to myself, 'That's odd.'
15 seconds and 1/3 mile later: 'Oh. Yeah, that'd do it.'
Thankfully he didn't hit this one (1980-1984 Buick Electra):
International road-rail dump truck (I thought it was pretty neat):
Huge Hitachi mining excavator as part of a project rearranging a mountainside (I'm not sure if they're widening the highway or completely rerouting it). I have views from the trip there and the trip home:
