I don't think that'll happen. Anyways I think people want smaller trucks since large ones use up a lot of gas.
What I meant was the Ranger nameplate will end, It will get replaced by a All-New small truck of a different name.

Yes. What Ford should do with their next police cars are a new V8, maybe have it run on alternative fuels like Ethonal, 300+ BHP, and a new 6 speed automatic. The new Charger police cars with the Hemis are beginning to make some Crown Vics look bad now I think.
Anways 239 Horsepower for a V8 is not enough. My family's STS V6 has 255 BHP.
Btw does you force have any Dodge Charger cop cars?

No, it's all Crown Vics for us. Even though the older police officers on the force seem to agree that the late 70's Chevrolet Nova 9C1 was perhaps the best police car they ever drove, most of the other officers are content with the Crown Victoria. It has a lot of room inside for all of our equipment and it runs well. The newer Crown Vics are fast too, we were pushing 90 MPH one time in just a few seconds. Most of the other police agencies in my area have Crown Victorias, there's no Impalas around (a testimony to how unpopular they are). Also, there are a few agencies that have the Charger for testing purposes, but I doubt we'll be getting them. From what I heard, the V8's may be fast, but I've heard complaints about the Charger's interior room, rear visibility, and some people don't like it's overall design. I've personally never driven a Charger, so I can't say much, but it sounds like the Charger is not all it's been hyped up to be.

Chargers do seem small yes. I know that in smaller towns have Toyota Prius' for police cars.

It would be slow I imagine. Tauruses are not as good of cars as they used to be, but if the SHO was still around then maybe not as much as a problem.

That was more of a ballpark figure. The point is, those cars aren't built to be pushed to the limit TIME AFTER TIME like the Crown Victoria PI is. Besides, those administrative cars usually have a sticker in the dash that is put in by the department saying "This vehicle is not to be used in high-speed pursuits."
