I believe you are correct antp. I was thinking maybe a De Tomaso of some sort or something like a Rover 3500 V8, but neither matched very well. I had never heard of an Iso Grifo before, you learn something every day.

It is not a very common car, though

For some reason, "Iso Grifo" sounds absolutely great to me, even better than "Maserati Quattroporte". Though even it gets trumped by its bigger sister, the Iso Rivolta Fidia:

Detomaso and Iso...great Itallian cars!

how do you like my picture of a Shelby Mustang GT?

Bravada, that Iso Rivolta Fidia has a lot of styling elements similar to your Park Avenue avatar: The A-pillar, the lower trim, the side markers, even the wheels look a little like the the late 90s alloys! Wierd.

Although I own no car of my own at the moment, I've decided to select a picture of a Vauxhall Omega Estate, since that is the car I'm borrowing from my dad at the moment, it may even become mine soon if he buys a new car. Or I might buy a car of my own (probably won't be anything special, mind). My avatar isn't actually my dad's car but it looks very similar, it's the same colour, although the car in the picture is the base-model, the GLS, my dad has the Tourer (I think it was a limited trim, it was in the middle of the range), and my dad's car has different alloys and front foglights.

Sounds like a superb car

– I like the Vauxhall/Opel Omega (and it’s next of kin, the Cadillac Catera and Holden Commodore) I just liked their overall appearance and thought they were very attractive cars. I was sad when the Catera left. I’m guessing yours has the V6, no?

Nice. Good luck.
My picture isn't the greatest. I may change it a bit.

I agree

I realize that my avatar need not match model for model the vehicle suggested by my screen name, but I decided to do so for my inaugural pic. The current one can really be any series of 1958 Buick excluding the Limited.

That’s no biggy ... my avatar does not match my Expedition to a 'T'. I have a Cashmere White 2006 model Expedition Limited Edition – the avatar shows a Pueblo Gold 2005 model Expedition Limited Edition.
I could never find a White one ...

@Stronghold, what kind of car is your avatar? It looks cool, but I can't figure out what it is.
Antoine is right, it's an Iso Grifo, but not just any Iso Grifo.!
This is the one with the Chevy corvette 427 (7-litre) engine.
One of my All time favorite cars.!

and it was considered one of the fastest cars of it's time (somewhere around 165/170 mph)

Why, thank you,

it's alright. Yes, it's basically the same car as the Catera, with a different grille, badges and taillights. And there might be some slight differences with the interior, I've looked at a few pictures of the Catera's interior and it doesn't seem to have the Omega's LCD display which shows you Outside Temperature, Fuel Consumption, Average Speed and Range. Mine (well it's not mine, I'm borrowing it) is the 2.5 litre V6. The Omega is also related to the Holden Monaro (two door coupe) Holden Commodore GTS-R (now that was a car! It could probably give the BMW M5 a good run for it's money).
