Yes that's when I fixed the bug with the & parameters in links (e.g. ¤t on photobucket links), I made a mistake, it only lasted a few seconds, not a few minutes

While on the subject of glitches, I noticed that some words in a few comments have been displayed out of alignment again. Like here on the Devil Winds movie page, see first comment by walter:

^^ For what it's worth, it looks fine for me (also in Safari).

That must be a rendering bug in the web browser, I do not see what could cause that

It could be Safari that’s at fault. I recently updated to version 5.1. I didn’t have any display issues with the older version.

I have just changed my browser from Firefox to Chrome. When renaming vehicles in Chrome I can't add the made for-tag (origin works fine) and I cant narrow down searches with the origin.
If I click on the "made for" drop down box, the box get highlighted. After I have chose the country and click somewhere else to unhighlight it, the country I chose disappears.
It seems that some drop down boxes work and some don't, does anyone have the same problem and might know what's causing it? Can I fix it or is there a bug with the site?

The last time I changed to Google Chrome I didn't even have image properties, so I had to switch back to Firefox. This will be a compatibility issue since the site was optimized for Firefox.
I tend to avoid their products since Google doesn't know the meaning of the word privacy.

Well I test mostly with Firefox because I use that, but there is no reason that the vehicle add/edit page would not work in any browser: these drop-down list are very basic html, with no style and no javascript. Just plain HTML like 15 years ago. So I really wonder what could cause this problem with Chrome. Especially since on my PC it works fine with Chrome

I've tried all day to access the site, using Firefox (my usual browser), Chrome and IE, and via the 'back to the site' here on the forum. Nothing doing ... help!
26/05/2012 @ 00:31:47: antp: Maintenance / Connection problems
What happens?
26/05/2012 @ 08:29:15: chris40: Maintenance / Connection problems
Nothing. Just 'waiting for
www.imcdb.org'.

Well as the site works for me and most of the others it seems, there is a problem either on your side, or near your internet provider. It still does not work?
26/05/2012 @ 20:35:59: chris40: Maintenance / Connection problems
No, but apparently it's a fault with Virgin Media which seems to have developed yesterday morning and isn't fixed yet. Judging by comments on their forum it would be a waste of time trying to contact them; I'll just have to be patient. Sorry you've been troubled ...

Indeed, it's Richard Branson's fault, that was to be expected.

Back this morning ... hope it keeps it up!
02/06/2012 @ 18:42:37: G-MANN: Maintenance / Connection problems
Site seems to be being a little slow to load pages over the last couple of days. Or is my connection being slightly dodgy?
EDIT: Seems it's not just me, Lateef and Sandie have also said the same thing.
02/06/2012 @ 18:50:21: rjluna2: Maintenance / Connection problems
I am getting the same waiting period to reload after clicking a page and whatnot. Sometimes it is slow, other time seems to run smoothly. I thought it was the backbone bandwidth issue that is being lagging
02/06/2012 @ 20:07:15: antp: Maintenance / Connection problems
From time to time the site is slow, it may be due to Google indexing some too heavy search result pages, or things like that. I should try to track long queries, to find what cause that (and possibly block these).
Or else it is due to all the off topic of Ingo and some others
02/06/2012 @ 20:12:19: G-MANN: Maintenance / Connection problems
If, say, all of Ingo's comments were suddenly wiped, would that actually make a difference? (not that I'm suggesting this should be done

)
