Before we have an entry for the new Volvo V40 we should decide how to list them.

Right now they are listed as:

1996-2004 Volvo S40 Gen.1
1996-2004 Volvo V40

2004-2012 Volvo S40 Gen.2
2004-2012 Volvo V50

2012 Volvo V40 Gen???

I vote for calling the old V40 gen.1 and the V50 gen.2 and the new V40 gen.3 Eventhough the new V40 don't have much in common with the old V50 (uses the same platform as the C30) it is seen as the replacment of the S40/V50.

That seems to make sense

I've added Gen3 to our one 2012 V40, can the generations for the other V40s and V50s be inputted in a batch update please?

Which generation number for which years?

1996-2004 V40 Gen.1
2004-2012 V50 Gen.2

well gen 1 for all v40 without gen and gen 2 for all v50 without gen, that's easier
