Though I've been a fan of the band "Throwing Muses" since around 1988, I just discovered there was a music video for the song "Shark," which contains stock footage from the 1960's of a guy driving his family in a late-1960's Olds 98 and flipping it over in an accident:

Would something like this be eligible or not?

I'd say it's eligible - can't see why not. We've had music videos which reuse older footage quite happily.

Indeed.

I wonder if that footage is from a movie? If it is, we don't seem to have it listed though I've only quickly perused our collection of Olds 98s.

The artist has a Wikipedia page, so it is ok: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Throwing_Muses

If it is footage from a movie, it should just refer the scenes used, e.g. like for this music video showing scenes from Speed: http://www.imcdb.org/movie.php?id=1004509293
But the cars are not especially from a movie (or not know yet), they can be added as normal vehicles on the site.

Yeah, this looks like it's clearly from an ephemeral film. I'd rather use it for that in this case. I know I added the video for "Dandelion: Waiting for a Ride," but that has footage of the band driving around town mixed in with the stock footage.
